On this day in 1995, Lexi Thompson was born in Florida. She turned pro in 2010 and joined the LPGA in 2012, amassing 15 wins. A year after turning pro, she claimed her first LPGA title at the Navistar LPGA Classic, becoming the tour's youngest winner at the time. At 19, Thompson snagged her only major at the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship (now the Chevron Championship), becoming the second-youngest major champ at that time. In 2024, Thompson announced retirement from full-time professional golf. |
