From Bavaria With Love: Bernhard Langer’s Thrilling Journey to the Top

Nov 11, 2024 | Edition #55

👋 Hey Golf Fans,

We are still perplexed about what to make of yesterday’s results. It was surprising, and it wasn’t. You know, Bernhard Langer. 35-foot birdie putt. 47th PGA Tour Champions victory. Before this, Langer never won in Phoenix. He has six Charles Schwab Cups, but never the season-finale. Also, how baffling is it to think this is a 67-year-old man who tore his ligament in February?

But then that’s what the German International has always done. Poverty, back injury, putting yips all bowed down before his lanky 5.9-foot frame. Langer retired from the DP World Tour earlier this year. And now he says next year’s trip to Augusta will be his last. We are nearing the end of a phenomenon. So, what better time to look back at Langer’s career, bust some myths and celebrate the legend than now?

So, let’s get started…
