On March 11, 1945, Byron Nelson began the greatest streak in PGA Tour history by winning the first of 11 consecutive tournaments, starting with the Miami International Four-Ball. For the next five months, he won every event he entered, including the PGA Championship. That year, Nelson claimed victory in 18 of the 30 tournaments he played, the most by any player in history. The only pro to come closest to the record is Tiger Woods with his seven back-to-back titles.
