On December 24, 2022, six-time major champion Kathy Whitworth died at age 83. Kathy turned pro in 1958, winning her first title in 1962 and eventually securing 88 LPGA victories. To this day, it is the most wins by any player on any professional tour. In 1975, Kathy was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. In 1981, she became the first woman to surpass $1 million in career earnings on the LPGA. |
