On March 10, 1943, two-time major champ Sandra Palmer was born in Fort Worth, Texas. A World Golf Hall of Fame inductee since 2024, Palmer attended North Texas State University, where she was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. But the golf calling came pretty soon, with Palmer turning pro and joining the LPGA in 1964. She went on to win 19 LPGA titles, including the 1972 Titleholders Championship and the 1975 U.S. Women's Open. Now, Sandra is the head teaching professional at Sahalee Country Club.
