On January 9, 1980, Sergio Garcia was born in Borriol, a little town on the east coast of Spain. He started playing golf when he was only three years old under the tutelage of Víctor García, his father. Garcia made the cut in a DPWT event at 15, won a tournament at 17, and turned pro two years later. The 2017 Masters champ also owns a soccer club, CF Borriol, and in fact, played for the team in 2010. |
