Today was the 20th time Scheffler and McIlroy were grouped together in stroke play on the PGA Tour. Scheffler had posted the better score 11 times, at a combined 47-under. Rory had a better score 6 times at 18-under. Both shot the same score three times.

First-round leader Russell Henley drained a 34-foot birdie putt.
