As part of our Masters week countdown, we are looking at all 18 holes of Augusta National. With seven days to go before the first major, today our focus is on the sixth hole, Juniper.
Juniper, named for the evergreen tree, has yielded an all-time scoring average of 3.14 strokes, ranking it sixth-easiest at Augusta. Its worst recorded score is a quadruple bogey, carded by three pros, including Arnold Palmer in 1997. Meanwhile, five players have aced it, with Jamie Donaldson delivering the latest in 2013. The hole's lowest tournament average came in the 1974 Masters at 2.984 strokes.
