Tiger Woods first went under the knife in December 1994. Four months after his U.S. Amateur triumph, Big Cat, then a kid of 18, had to undergo surgery to remove two benign tumors and scar tissue from his left knee. By that time, he had played in three PGA Tour events.

Max Homa’s 52-yard approach on the par-4 13th found the greenside bunker, leaving him 38 feet 9 inches to the hole. From there, he pulled off this magical recovery shot for a birdie.
