👋 Hey Golf Fans,

Quite a packed Sunday it was yesterday. Rory McIlroy wanted to end the season on a high note after being ‘nearly man’ for a better part of 2024. The Ulsterman choked in tears afterward. Not because he won the DP World Tour Championship. 

The Ulsterman tied childhood hero Seve Ballesteros’s tally, of six Order of Merits. Sky Sports reporter made him aware, and Rory couldn’t hold back. Clearly, he had more to say, but emotions got the better of him. Seve means a lot to Europeans, McIlroy said. What he couldn’t put into words was how much and why. So, we did it instead.
