Did you know? Golf is believed to have started in the 14th century. Less than a hundred years later, it was already so popular that King James II of Scotland had to ban it because folks apparently were neglecting military training for golf. Now, we don’t know how much (if any) of a role money played in its popularity. But times have changed.

Look at next year’s Bethpage Black Ryder Cup for example. For the first time in 98 years, players will receive some sort of financial compensation. Now, Tiger and Rory have both had their say on the matter. However, we could only agree with one of them.
