On September 10, 1929, Arnold Palmer was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, to Doris Morrison and Milfred J. (Deacon) Palmer. Arnie’s father, a course superintendent at the Latrobe Country Club, introduced him to the sport. Palmer went on to win 92 titles worldwide, including 62 on the PGA Tour and seven major championships. And of course, he forever changed how golf was played, watched, and sold. Happy birthday, King!
